Water and Thoughts
When you think of thoughts they move like water. Sometimes it is not in the structure of your ego (self). We know, water can penetrate through a rock with enough consistentcy. The same goes for shaping our thoughts, how things can come into fruition. Everything once started with a thought. Then it becomes something more, it pulls you to inspired action.
I learnt from Tony Robbins, most people have a dirt road to happiness, and a high road to unhappiness. By that he means, people are not conscious of their patterns. Ever heard, someone say they are broken, that's not true. We all have neurological patterns, with time it can change.
When we more often than not, intend to consistently focus on the good, milking experiences, even saying how the taste of a tea is amazing, appreciating and taking it in. Say, even when someone does something nice or us doing something nice, appreciating we can do that better yet - it rewires our brain for happiness.
It's gratitude yes. This quote, 'if you aren't happy with what you have, the things you once wanted, what makes you think you will be happy when you get more?' So appreciate what you have, because what you have is plenty.
As he says, our mind is a meaning maker, meaning equals emotion therefore emotion equals life. Think of any experience, you have meaning for it.
Two people can have the same experiences of a car crash. One will think roads are not safe and life is not worth living so freely. Another may, use it as a sign that life has blessed them, go on road trips, adventures and live more freely.
One had a meaning that disempowered him, the other empowered him. So how can we really know if an experience is bad? Well we don't. We give meaning.
We've seen people that have injustice in their lives, on the outside it looks like they have a perfect life. The same people go on to care for people and aim to bring value to people's lives.
